Telephone Recruiting V Push Button”

Recently I decided to take advantage of my program’s system inviter, (you know the one you use to invite contacts on your email list).

I don’t normally do this but I thought why not try it, in fact it can be a very powerful thing to do as it turned out. Certainly better than picking up the phone and calling the very same people.

You got to be careful when you do it though and be sure you select only the people you want the post to go to, and that you properly form the names and surnames of recipients, basically what I am trying to say is follow the company’s guidelines. Why? It’s for the simple reason that you may have people you do not want to receive these kind of emails, so you don’t want to offend anyone and yourself when they complain, and the other important reason is your company may susppend or even terminate your account for breaching their TOC’s. It nearly happened to me but thankfully we where able to resovle the matter with no fuss at all.

Now, I digressed a bit there for that’s not the main reason for my writting. I just wanted to emphasise on the importance and the diferrence email marketing makes when it comes to internet business. This is taught by many experts but it just doesn’t seem to sink in for some of us.

This is not to say telephone recruiting doesn’t work and yes, it does have it’s place, but what I found interesting after my post  landed in one of my contacts’s inbox was that he signed up, and send me a text message to get intouch with him. I thought I had had a good prospect since it was someone I knew was in the game so it would have been easier for us to work together but heck no.

The guy had a differnt agenda, it turnded out he wanted to actaully present me with his own latest programm after rubishing mine. This is someone I have been trying to help see the power of what many marketers dub the “push button recruiting”, where you recruit without ever having to pick up the phone.

I mean why waste time with the phone, why not wait for prospects to call you when they like what they see in their own time?

I love the way you write and also the theme on your blog. Did you code this yourself or was it done by a professional? I’m very very impressed.
