Should I Reduce My Product Price?

I got this question from one of my students, whom we have since become friends with since I introduced him to the world of Internet marketing. That’s just one of the beauties of this business, you make friends with so many people from different parts of the world, people you have never met.

We now learn from each other, which really motivates me. We were catching up last week when he aksed me “should I reduce my product price?”, and I have been meaning to share it here. See, he was saying this because he was not making that many sales, so he thought by reducing the price, that might improve things.

My answer to that was no, I will explain why… You see, this is something I see quite a lot in this business, many marketers compete on price, which is wrong as it just reduces the percieved value of the product.

The key here is to increase the percieved value and decrease risk in the eyes of your prospects. However, since this is an information product which comes with a powerful sales page which takes care of all of that, i.e. increase value and decrease risk, the real key is to have enough traffic to your website.

You see, the interesting thing is there are millions upon millions who have never heard of your product, so if you have enough eyeballs (and you need millions persistently) on your offer, you tell me, why wouldn’t they buy from you at that unreduced price if they want to learn what you have to offer?

You see my point? So get more traffic, don’t kill your business by competing on price or you will make no money, add value and reduce risk instead.
