In the old days out west, ranchers would sometimes take a wild steed that they could not break, tie it to a little burro, and turn the two loose. The steed would rear up on its hind legs snorting defiance, irritated beyond belief, distratced, and unhappy. Off they would go, out onto the range. Before long the bucking steed would disappear over the desert horizon, dragging the helpless burro behind.

Days would pass, but eventually the odd couple would reappear. The little burro would come first, with the submissive steed in tow.

What went on out on the range always brought the same result. The steed would buck and kick and pitch and pull, but the burro, willing or not, would.

hang on, no matter what.

Finally, the steed would become exhausted, and at that point the burro would take over and

become the leader.

That’s the way it is in life.

True leaders hang on.

They are the determined, the commited. They know that perseverance can bring them out on top. No matter what…

Hang on.

Do not give up on your dreams.

True leaders dream big. They get a plan, a vision, and a system that works over and over again and seek out those who are living the lifestyle they want and make a decision to decide to go for it, no matter what. They get a plan, plan to work and work their plan. No matter what, they hang on to their convictions and are strong enough to take on the steeds. They have patience to handle those greater than them. They hang on and accomplish great feats, and build success upon success.

It’s the journey. It’s who you become when you arrive at being a True leader that is what makes the hanging on so important. Today I just want to share with you the truth about the geese, you may have heard it before, if not I hope you will still enjoy it all the same.

Have you ever wondered why the geese fly in a “V” formation? Here are some interesting facts scientists have discovered about why they fly that way.

Fact: As each bird flaps its wings, it creates uplift for the bird immediately following. By flying in a “V” formation, the whole flock adds at least 71% greater flying range than if each bird flew on its own.

Truth: People who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they are going quicker and easier because they are traveling on the trust of one another.

Fact: Whenever a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of trying to go it alone and quickly gets back into formation to take advanage of the lifting power of the bird immediately in front.

Truth: There is strength and power and safety in numbers when traveling in the same direction with those with whom we share a common goal.

Fact: When the lead goose gets tired, it rotates back in the “V” formation and another goose flies point.

Truth: Each of us needs to take our turn in giving direction for the good of the whole.

Fact: The geese honk from behind to encourage those up front to keep up their speed.

Truth: We all need to be remembered and stimulated with active support and praise.

Fact: When a goose gets sick or is wounded and falls out, two geese fall out of formation and follow it down to help and protect it. They stay with it until the crisis resolves, and then they launch out on their own or with another formation to catch up with their group.

Truth: We must stand by each other in times of need. We are fortunate that there are more geese in life than turkeys. Let’s remember to uphold each other in friendship and to give each other a big “honk” more often.

• You cannot escape the truth tat each of us is responsible for our life outcomes. Casting blame, anger, anger and resentment for or toward anyone or anything other than ourselves for our circumstances is to live in the fantasyland of denial and immaturity.
• If you do not spend adequate time planning for and moving toward the future you desire you will spend your future days in frustration and anxiety.
• Living without balance in the critical areas of your life, i.e. physical, mental familial, social, and career or business, is to set yourself for disappointment, frustration, failure, stress, and a number of negative conditions in some area of your life in future.

Money alone is not the key to happiness, we need knowledge, wisdom and understanding. Wouldn’t you want to unleash the greatness within you? Look my friend, I urge you do not be one of these, the timid soul who is terrified to try, the critical one who has never attempted or the comfortable one whose dreams are too small.
